Meet the Lead Artisan

My name is Cristle, and I am the Lead Artisan and Steward of Ancestral Goods. While I'm technically the owner, I see my role as a caretaker of a legacy, not just a business. My goal is to create a space where a multitude of artisans can share their work and build their own legacies.

I come from a family of creators: poets, artists, bakers, writers, musicians, and quilters. We are a family of hard workers, born and raised in Florida. Ancestral Goods was born from a desire to keep some of that legacy alive. It first began with a simple garden, a way for me to feel more connected to my late grandmother, Ruth. I wanted our family's heritage—as sharecroppers and a people who fed themselves from the earth—to stay alive. That same spirit and need to continue a legacy is why I started baking, quilting, and creating so much more.
